Which capsules does Vertuo Pop use?
Vertuo Pop uses Nespresso Vertuo capsules. It does not use Nespresso Original capsules. Choose Vertuo capsules listed as compatible with your machine, especially when selecting larger cup formats.
Can I make lattes and cappuccinos?
Yes. Brew an espresso or double espresso, then add milk heated or frothed separately. Vertuo Pop does not have a built-in steam wand or milk frother. You can use a separate frother, such as an Aeroccino, to prepare the milk.
Does it make cold coffee?
Vertuo Pop brews hot coffee; it does not chill the coffee. For an iced drink, use a compatible Vertuo capsule designed to be enjoyed over ice and follow its recipe, including the recommended amount of ice and any milk or water.
Do I need to choose the brew settings?
No manual settings are needed for a standard brew. The machine reads the barcode on your Vertuo capsule and automatically adjusts the brewing parameters. Insert a compatible capsule, close and lock the machine head, place your cup, and press the coffee button.
How do I clean and descale it?
Empty and rinse the used-capsule container and drip tray, rinse the water tank, and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Run the cleaning cycle as described in your machine's manual. When the descaling alert appears, use Nespresso descaling solution and follow the full descaling and rinsing procedure for your model. Cleaning and descaling are separate maintenance cycles.
Is this the same as Vertuo Pop+?
Vertuo Pop and Vertuo Pop+ are closely related models, but their specifications should not be assumed to be identical. Model names and available versions vary by country. Check the exact product listing for water-tank capacity, dimensions, supported cup sizes, and included accessories before purchasing.
